Egypt Unveils New Missile System

Egypt’s Ministry of Military Production has unveiled its locally-manufactured multi-launch rocket system called Raad 200 (Thunder 200), mounted on an armoured tracked vehicle.

Raad 200 has a maximum speed of 45 km/hr and is capable of striking targets up to 40 kilometres away.

This state-of-the-art artillery system can fire both guided and unguided 122mm rockets and shells.

Its ammunition range includes high-explosive (HE) standard 122mm rocket shells, including 122mm HE BRE1 rocket shells, with a maximum range of 40 kilometres.

The introduction of the Raad 200 rocket launcher signifies Egypt’s commitment to boosting indigenous innovation in defence technology and demonstrating its ability to independently develop advanced military hardware.
