Chinese Consortium Unveils New Ship

The Chinese consortium has introduced the 58M Patrol Ship, a vessel that underscores China’s commitment to modernising its naval fleet. Designed for use by the navy, this 58-meter-long patrol ship is capable of performing typical missions such as maritime patrols, search and rescue, and protection of economic waters, while swiftly responding to various challenges.

The ship is powered by two diesel-driven water jets equipped with curved engines, capable of achieving a range of up to 2500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.

Additionally, the ship can be equipped with weapon systems and includes two boarding boats that can be quickly deployed for specialised tasks.

Moreover, it is equipped with weapon ports for close combat, as well as an area for launching drones or small helicopters.
