The seventh edition of the National Service Career Fair concluded its activities successfully on May 15, 2024, at the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) in Expo City Dubai.

The fair, which featured participation from over 70 companies and governmental institutions across 30 different sectors, offered numerous professional opportunities for participants, including national and reserve service recruits and graduates.

The 3-day event was sponsored by the UAE Ministry of Defence, represented by the National Service and Reserve Authority, and organised by Index Conferences and Exhibitions (a member of Index Holding).

The fair attracted more than 20,000 Emirati visitors. Among these were professionals and recent graduates, all seeking support in achieving career success.

Developing a Generation of Leaders Across All Sectors

The event was inaugurated on May 13, 2024, by His Excellency Dr Ahmed bin Abdullah Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education. The seventh edition of the fair aims to build the future of Emirati youth by helping them choose suitable career paths and develop a generation of leaders in both the private and public sectors.

His Excellency Dr Ahmed bin Abdullah Belhoul Al Falasi, accompanied by Brigadier Khalifa Hamad Al Kaabi, Chief of the National Service and Reserve Authority (NSRA), and other prominent figures, toured the exhibition, where they were briefed on various pavilions and employment opportunities available for recruits and graduates, as well as the facilities supported by the Ministry of Defence to assist national service graduates in becoming the new wave of talent capable of driving innovation and achieving economic development in the future.

Moreover, His Excellency Dr Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, visited the exhibition, observing the significant achievements of the participating institutions.

The fair provided a platform for participating entities and companies to build a robust database containing the profiles of national service recruits and graduates, thereby enhancing future employment opportunities.

This fair is a prime example of the National and Reserve Service Authority’s belief in the importance of employing national service recruits and graduates and providing them with opportunities to connect with potential employers.

The fair aimed to foster relationships between national service graduates, the armed forces, and the participating governmental and private sector entities to create job opportunities and support their career advancement.

This initiative aligns with the leadership’s commitment to providing the best opportunities for its citizens, enabling them to excel in various economic, commercial, and educational fields.

Job Opportunities and Career Path Take Centre Stage

This year’s National Service Career Fair featured more than 30 workshops delivered by over 40 international speakers. These sessions covered vital topics such as specialised volunteering in emergencies, crises, and disasters, future job opportunities, and workforce readiness. The workshops aimed to broaden the skills and knowledge of National Service recruits and graduates, preparing them to succeed in job interviews and choose suitable career paths.

Job opportunities and career development programmes were the main focus of the participating entities’ activities at the fair, with significant participation and strong attendance from National Service recruits.

Moreover, the fair’s lectures and workshops aimed to assist graduates and recruits in identifying the best jobs suited to their interests and the steps they need to take to advance their expertise, recognising them as the foundation of the community.

Furthermore, participating entities presented workshops explaining their current systems and the future opportunities for recent graduates.

Achieving Emiratisation Goals

The fair plays a significant role in achieving the objectives of Emiratisation and utilising the incentives provided by the UAE government. It brings together National Service recruits and graduates with participants from both the public and private sectors, offering opportunities for Emiratis to develop their skills and engage in the workforce.

This initiative aligns with the visionary leadership of the UAE, aiming to empower youth by providing employment and educational opportunities and developing their abilities to serve the nation in all fields.

A Premier National Event

NSCF is one of the most significant annual national events, attracting National Service recruits and graduates seeking job opportunities and providing a platform to meet key figures and officials who support youth and ensure they have the necessary resources and facilities.

Moreover, it offers employment and educational opportunities for National Service recruits and graduates by opening communication channels with companies looking for qualified candidates and educational institutions, encouraging them to pursue higher education.
