Lockheed Martin Introduces GMLRS Missiles with Doubled Range

Lockheed Martin has introduced an advanced variant of the GMLRS missile, known as GMLRS ER (Extended Range). The missile was launched from a HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) platform belonging to the U.S. Army.

The test demonstrated a nearly doubled range while maintaining the renowned accuracy associated with GMLRS.

In this initial test, which covered a distance of 150 kilometres, GMLRS proved its efficiency in terms of flight path, extended range, and precision from launch to impact, surpassing predefined success criteria.

The product seamlessly integrated with the HIMARS system, achieving impressive missile performance.

Lockheed Martin’s track record includes producing over 60,000 GMLRS missiles and providing comprehensive logistical support to the U.S. Army, the U.S. Marine Corps, and international customers.
