The UAE has concluded its successful participation in the 2nd edition of the DEFEA 2023 International Defence Exhibition and Conference held in Athens, from May 9th to 11th, 2023.
The UAE was represented at the opening ceremony of DEFEA 2023 by His Excellency Saeed Al Mazroui, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Greece, and His Excellency Major General Dr Mubarak Saeed bin Ghafan Al Jabri, Assistant Undersecretary for Support and Defence Industries at the Ministry of Defence.
The National Pavilion
The Emirates Defence Companies Council (EDCC), the main supporter of the defence industries sector in the UAE, organized the national pavilion of the UAE at the 3-day defence exhibition, showcasing the UAE’s leading and latest defence industries and solutions, as well as the investment opportunities offered by the UAE in this sector.
The UAE’s national pavilion at the DEFEA 2023 Athens Exhibition saw a significant turnout and high demand from decision-makers, high-ranking military personnel, and visitors from around the world.
His Excellency Saeed Al Mazroui, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Greece, and His Excellency Major General Dr Mubarak Saeed bin Ghafan Al Jabri, Assistant Undersecretary for Support and Defence Industries at the Ministry of Defence, visited the UAE’s pavilion at the exhibition, where they were briefed on the latest defence industries and solutions presented by Emirati companies at the international exhibition.
The national pavilion was also visited by General Konstantinos Floros, Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDS), Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, the Greek defence Minister, and several high-ranking officials, where they were briefed on the latest achievements of the UAE in its various defence industries and solutions.
DEFEA 2023, Athens, is one of the largest international defence exhibitions, attracting key decision-makers and industry experts from around the world to showcase the latest technologies, products, and solutions to visitors.
Furthermore, its participants also showcase prominent ground, naval, aerospace, and electronic security defence systems.
Attended by international delegations, prominent guests, government officials, executives, and high-level military officials from Greece, Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East, and the Eastern Mediterranean region, DEFEA 2023 is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence in cooperation with the General Directorate for Defence Investments and Armaments in Greece, covering the defence and national security industry.
