Turkish defence company ASELSAN has successfully completed a new test of its YILDIRIM-100 infrared-guided anti-missile system.
During the test, the system was able to deflect live infrared-guided missiles equipped with warheads by directing a multi-spectral laser beam at the missiles’ heat-seeking sensors.
Developed to protect airborne platforms from infrared-guided threats, the YILDIRIM-100 system is designed to detect, track, and neutralise multiple incoming missiles simultaneously. Its advanced multi-band laser technology disrupts and blinds missile seekers, providing effective and reliable protection for aircraft.
