Duality AI, a U.S.-based technology company, has been awarded a contract to support the development of a next-generation counter-drone system designed to enhance battlefield protection through advanced artificial intelligence.
Known as the AI-Based Target Detection and Identification System, the solution is engineered to provide real-time drone detection and classification capabilities. Fully integrated into military vehicles, the system aims to safeguard crews against airborne threats by autonomously identifying and tracking unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
This initiative is part of a broader effort to replace the aging M2 Bradley with a new generation of combat vehicles. It also aligns with the U.S. Department of Defense’s larger strategy to incorporate artificial intelligence and machine learning into future operational platforms.
