The UAE National Pavilion successfully concluded its participation at the Egypt International Defence Exhibition (EDEX) 2025 on 4 December, following four days of dynamic engagement, high-level visits, and strong international interest. Held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in Cairo, the event brought together senior government officials, defence ministers, global industry leaders, and specialised defence and security companies from around the world.
The UAE’s prominent presence at the exhibition underscored the nation’s growing leadership in defence and security industries, as well as its ability to develop advanced, integrated solutions that meet future operational requirements. The participation further reflected the steadfast support of the UAE’s wise leadership, which continues to prioritise the development and modernisation of the defence and security sectors.
The Largest International Pavilions
Spanning more than 1,000 square metres, the UAE National Pavilion stood as the largest international pavilion at EDEX 2025. It attracted extensive attention from military leaders, experts, and decision-makers, serving as a central platform for showcasing the latest UAE-made defence technologies and highlighting the country’s expanding global footprint in the defence manufacturing sector.

Throughout the event, the pavilion received significant attention from senior officials and military delegations from across the world. High-level visits included official delegations from Egypt, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the Russian Federation, India, Brazil, Tanzania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Djibouti, and the League of Arab States.
Several countries—among them Russia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Djibouti—held direct meetings within the pavilion, reaffirming its status as a central hub for international defence dialogue.
Visit of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi
A key highlight of the UAE’s participation was the visit of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt, who toured the pavilion during the exhibition’s opening ceremony. President El-Sisi was briefed on the most advanced Emirati defence technologies on display and commended the progress the UAE has achieved in developing national and regional defence capabilities.
The visit underscored the deep strategic partnership and growing defence cooperation between the UAE and Egypt.

Showcasing Cutting-Edge Defence Innovation
Over four days, Emirati companies presented a wide range of advanced defence solutions, including unmanned systems, artificial intelligence platforms, cybersecurity technologies, logistics solutions, armoured vehicles, and next-generation air and naval systems.
The exhibits also highlighted the UAE’s capabilities in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO); aircraft structures; engine components; and helicopter support—reinforcing the country’s strength in engineering, technical expertise, and precision manufacturing.
Expanding Role in Global Supply Chains
Visiting delegations praised the UAE’s growing role in global defence supply chains, citing the high quality, strong production capacity, and distinguished performance of UAE-made systems. They also highlighted the UAE’s expanding partnerships with leading international defence companies and its increasing export footprint across global markets.
Commenting on the pavilion’s success, Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, said the UAE’s strong participation at EDEX 2025 reflects ADNEC’s commitment to showcasing national defence capabilities to a global audience. He noted that the Group’s involvement aligns with its strategy to support national industries, open new markets for UAE products, and enhance competitiveness at regional and international levels.
He added that the pavilion welcomed numerous senior defence officials and leaders, facilitating strategic partnerships and highlighting the UAE’s pioneering role in delivering innovative solutions that support the advancement of the global defence industry.
Strategic Agreements and MoUs
During the exhibition, the UAE National Pavilion witnessed the signing of several strategic memoranda of understanding (MoUs). These were signed by GAL, AMMROC, and Abu Dhabi Aviation Group with key Egyptian partners, including the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation.
The agreements aim to strengthen cooperation in defence capability development, enhance technical expertise exchange, and support joint projects in aviation services and military support.
AMMROC signed three major MoUs covering aircraft structures, engine components, and helicopter system support, while GAL signed additional agreements to expand its operational readiness and air support capabilities.
International Meetings and Preparations for Future Exhibitions
The pavilion also hosted a series of international meetings between ADNEC’s defence events advisors and visiting delegations. Discussions focused on strategic topics and preparations for upcoming defence exhibitions, most notably IDEX and NAVDEX, scheduled for 2027.
