Turkey Unveils Two Formidable Bombs

Ankara has introduced two powerful new non-nuclear bombs, engineered for deployment on fighter aircraft such as the F-16. The weapons were developed by the Turkish Ministry of Defence’s Research and Development Centre.

The first, named “Gazap” (Rage), ranks among the most potent conventional munitions in Turkey’s arsenal. According to reports, it delivers three times the explosive force of standard MK-series bombs and boasts a blast radius approaching one kilometre.

The second, designated “Hayalet-2” (Ghost), is a precision bunker-buster capable of piercing up to seven metres of reinforced concrete. Field test footage showed it striking an island target, burrowing through roughly 90 metres of rock and soil upon detonation.
