Turkey Successfully Tests MURAD 100-A AESA Radar

Turkey has announced the successful completion of multi-target tracking tests for its domestically developed MURAD 100-A AESA fire-control radar, marking a major milestone in the system’s development.

Integrated into the Bayraktar Akıncı unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the MURAD 100-A radar has demonstrated its advanced tracking and engagement capabilities in recent trials. Future testing is planned on multiple platforms, including the F-16 fighter jet, the Bayraktar Akıncı UAV, and the Hürjet, Turkey’s advanced jet trainer and light combat aircraft.

The MURAD 100-A represents a significant leap in radar technology, enhancing the combat effectiveness of both manned and unmanned aerial platforms. Featuring an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA), the radar enables electronic beam steering, allowing for versatile fire-control functions and both air-to-air and air-to-ground engagement capabilities.
