The Philippines Strengthens Its Fleet with KMPV Light Tactical Vehicles

The Philippine Marine Corps has awarded South Korean manufacturer KOVICO a contract to produce KMPV light tactical armoured vehicles.

These vehicles are designed for off-road operations, boasting the ability to climb slopes of up to 60%, enabling them to navigate steep hills and rugged mountain terrain.

One key advantage of this vehicle is its ability to traverse side slopes of up to 30%, making it particularly effective in urban environments and mountainous or forested areas.

In terms of water fording, the KMPV can cross obstacles up to 1.2 metres deep—a crucial feature for amphibious missions or operations in flood-prone areas.
