Swedish Army Tests Mobile Counter-Drone Vehicles

The Swedish Army, in collaboration with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and national defence industry partners, has successfully developed and deployed a new mobile counter-drone concept.

Launched under the urgent “Operation Got,” this initiative was introduced in response to the rapidly evolving threat landscape, where the widespread use of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) has emerged as one of the most significant dangers facing ground forces today.

The Swedish counter-drone concept focuses on speed, automation, and simplicity, enabling it to be effectively operated even by conscripted soldiers. The system integrates existing, field-proven technologies into a cohesive architecture that combines multiple types of sensors — both active and passive — all connected through a highly automated command and control system.
