South Korean defence company LIG Nex1 has unveiled its new uncrewed combat vessel, the Sea Sword-X, marking its first global public reveal and signalling the emergence of a new generation of intelligent naval platforms capable of conducting advanced combat missions without a human crew.
The Sea Sword-X represents the most advanced variant within the Sea Sword family of vessels and has been purpose-designed to operate in high-threat maritime environments.
Combining high speed, strong manoeuvrability, and advanced network integration, the Sea Sword-X is optimised for multi-role missions. These include armed reconnaissance, coastal defence, and the protection of critical sea lanes and maritime infrastructure.
