In cooperation with the Czech company SVOS, the Swedish company SAAB, has developed an air defense missile system named “MSHORAD” (Mobile Short Range Air Defense), using the RBS 70 surface-to-air missile weapon station mounted on the MARS 4×4 armored vehicle designed by SVOS.
The Mobile Fire Unit (MFU) and Mobile Radar Unit (MRU) were designed based on the RBS 70 NG and the Giraffe 1X 3D multipurpose radar respectively, and made available at MSHORAD, along with the Saab Command and Control System (C2).
