Raytheon, the US-based defence manufacturer, has successfully conducted the first air-launch test of its latest unmanned aerial system, the Coyote LE SR. This marks the first time the system has been deployed from a helicopter, expanding its operational versatility.
The successful test underscores Raytheon’s ongoing efforts to equip military forces with cutting-edge technologies that can detect, track, and address emerging threats on the battlefield.
The Coyote LE SR can be launched from air, land, or sea platforms and is designed to perform a wide range of missions. These include reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition, electronic warfare, precision strike, and communications support.
