General Dynamics has introduced an enhanced version of its Pandur 6×6 wheeled combat vehicle, specifically designed to support air defence operations.
The updated platform features the RIwP (Reconfigurable Integrated Weapons Platform) turret developed by Moog, which provides multi-domain capabilities by neutralising both ground and aerial threats. The vehicle is also equipped with a medium-range radar system for airspace monitoring and target tracking, enhancing its situational awareness on the battlefield.
To boost its firepower, the upgraded Pandur comes armed with a 30×113mm cannon and eight Stinger surface-to-air missile launchers, significantly increasing its lethality against airborne threats.
General Dynamics highlighted that the integration of the RIwP turret underscores the Pandur family’s high degree of adaptability and modularity, positioning it as a versatile solution for evolving defence needs.
