President of the UAE Reviews Latest Innovations from National and International Exhibitors
On 17 November 2025, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, visited the 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow 2025, held at Dubai World Central under the theme “The Future Is Here”.

During his tour of national and international pavilions and the outdoor display areas, His Highness reviewed the latest innovations, advanced technologies, and cutting-edge solutions in the aviation, space, and defence sectors.
His Highness engaged in discussions with representatives of participating national and international companies, who briefed him on their contributions, showcased technologies, and the latest civil and military aircraft and air defence systems on display.
During the tour, His Highness witnessed the launch of the Badr-250 (B-250), a multi-role aircraft developed by the UAE-based defence manufacturer Calidus Group. The aircraft, the first of its kind, has been fully designed, developed, and produced by Emirati expertise.
His Highness also toured the pavilion of the Defence Empowerment Council (Tawazun), where he was briefed on the Council’s latest projects and initiatives aimed at supporting a robust and advanced defence industrial ecosystem that aligns with future requirements.
On this occasion, His Highness praised the remarkable progress of the UAE’s defence industries and the key role played by Emirati talent in driving this development.
Upon his arrival at Dubai World Central, the President of the UAE was welcomed by his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, where they exchanged warm greetings.

On the sidelines of the event, the UAE President also met with Wei Yingbiao, Board Member and President of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). UAE President Visits Day Three of the Airshow and Meets Italian Minister of Defence
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, visited the third day of the Dubai Airshow 2025 on 19 November.

During the tour, His Highness reviewed the pavilions of several national and international companies specialising in aircraft manufacturing and advanced air defence systems. He was briefed on their latest innovations, technologies, and solutions, including civil and military aircraft, unmanned systems, and advanced airborne radar platforms.
His Highness also reviewed the features of the innovative “HELI” aircraft, recently launched by the UAE-based company LODD Autonomous, a specialist in autonomous logistics solutions. Fully designed and manufactured in the UAE, the aircraft is intended to enhance air-cargo services and provide advanced solutions to the transport sector.
On the sidelines of the Airshow, His Highness met His Excellency Guido Crosetto, Minister of Defence of the Italian Republic. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance, visited the 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow on 17 November 2025.
His Highness toured the pavilions of the event, one of the world’s foremost platforms for the aviation, defence, and space industries, with participation from leading global and regional companies and innovators.

During the tour, His Highness expressed keen interest in the advanced technologies and innovations displayed by participating companies, reviewing the latest solutions in aviation, defence, and space. He reaffirmed the importance of supporting technological development and elevating the sector’s competitiveness regionally and globally.
His Highness also reviewed new aircraft and major projects, including advanced civil and military platforms. The tour was attended by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, along with several senior officials.

During the outdoor display, His Highness inspected the Chinese C919 passenger aircraft, making its first appearance in the Middle East. The aircraft, developed by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), accommodates up to 192 passengers.
His Highness also visited the CATIC pavilion, which highlights China–UAE cooperation in the aviation sector; the Strata–Mubadala pavilion, showcasing Emirati innovation in advanced aerostructures manufacturing; the EDGE pavilion, featuring cutting-edge defence and aerospace technologies; and the LODD pavilion, which reflects the UAE’s progress in aerospace and defence manufacturing.

On 17 November 2025, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, visited a number of pavilions at Dubai Airshow 2025.

His Highness was briefed on the latest innovations and advanced technologies across the aviation, space and defence sectors, including unmanned aircraft systems, smart defence solutions, and innovative technologies supporting advanced air operations, in addition to initiatives and developments aimed at embedding sustainable practices within the aviation industry.
During the visit, His Highness met with several chief executives of leading exhibiting companies, where he was briefed on the key trends, technologies and future projects they are showcasing at the exhibition, and on their plans to advance the aviation, space and defence sectors in the years ahead.
Hamdan bin Mohammed Reviews the Emirati-Made Badr B-250 Light Combat Aircraft
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, affirmed that the United Arab Emirates continues to advance confidently in solidifying its role as a global platform for developing advanced defence industries and solutions, grounded in its firm belief that excellence in this field represents a fundamental pillar in safeguarding national achievements and protecting the security and resources of the nation.

This came during His Highness’s review of the Emirati-made Badr 250 (B-250) aircraft produced by the EDGE Group company CALIDUS, during its participation in the 19th edition of Dubai Airshow.
His Highness received a briefing on the light, multi-role aircraft, designed to carry out a diverse range of missions including close air support, surveillance and reconnaissance. The aircraft can fly continuously for up to 12 hours, and has also been engineered to support pilot training operations.

On the sidelines of Dubai Airshow 2025, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met His Excellency Dragan Krapović, Minister of Defence of Montenegro.

On the second day of Dubai Airshow, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, affirmed that the gathering of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers and leading technology developers under one roof in Dubai stands as clear evidence of the emirate’s success in establishing itself as a pivotal global platform for shaping the future.
He noted that Dubai continues to offer capabilities and facilitations that support a multi-track global dialogue aimed at finding solutions that contribute to a better future for humanity—one that is secure, stable, progressive and prosperous.

During the visit, His Highness reviewed several of the more than 200 aircraft showcased at the exhibition, representing a wide spectrum that includes commercial, military, business aviation and unmanned aircraft, alongside advanced aviation technologies.
His Highness viewed the Bombardier Global 7500, receiving a briefing on the modern aircraft, which began production in 2024. He also toured the Gulfstream pavilion, where he was briefed on the advanced capabilities of the new G800, one of the highest-performing aircraft in the executive aviation category, and explored the G700, which represents the next generation of executive jets, featuring the largest cabin in its class.
His Highness concluded his tour with a visit to the Chinese aircraft manufacturer COMAC’s pavilion, where he received a detailed presentation on the C919 — China’s first single-aisle commercial passenger aircraft — as the company seeks to cement its position in the global market and compete internationally in the commercial aviation sector.
The Ministry of Defence and Abu Dhabi Police sign defence and security contracts worth AED 25.455 billion at Dubai Airshow 2025

The 19th edition of Dubai Airshow resulted in the signing of 36 major contracts for the Ministry of Defence and Abu Dhabi Police, with a total value of AED 25.455 billion over five days. The contracts — a mix of local and international agreements — significantly enhanced defence and aviation capabilities, reflecting the strength of the UAE’s strategic partnerships and the growth of its national defence industries.
Extensive Presence and High-Level Engagements
Dubai Airshow 2025 saw intensive activity by senior leaders from the Ministry of Defence and the UAE Armed Forces, who held a series of bilateral meetings with high-ranking military delegations from around the world, in addition to signing key agreements and visiting several participating pavilions.
These engagements focused on strengthening military cooperation, advancing defence industries, and supporting progress in innovation and advanced technology.
Minister of State for Defence Affairs
His Excellency Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadel Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of State for Defence Affairs, held several meetings at his office at the exhibition, where he met His Excellency Hanena Ould Sidi, Minister of Defence of Mauritania, His Excellency Isaka Maloua Djamous, Minister of Defence of Chad, His Excellency Abdellatif Loudiyi, Minister Delegate in Charge of National Defence Administration in Morocco and His Excellency Dmitry Pantus, Minister of State for Military Industries in Belarus.
His Excellency discussed with them opportunities for enhancing military cooperation and future partnership.
This was followed by a tour of the Russian pavilion with His Excellency Dmitry Shugayev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia.

His Excellency Lieutenant General Engineer Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, held a series of meetings with senior military leaders, including General Rudzani Maphwanya, Chief of the South African National Defence Force, General Son Seokrak, Chief of Staff of the Republic of Korea Air Force, General Michael Wiggers, Chief of Defence of Denmark, Air Marshal Xavier Julián Isaac, Chief of the Joint Staff of Argentina, Vice Admiral Edward Graham Ahlgren, UK Senior Defence Advisor to the Middle East and Mr Dmitry Pantus, Chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry in Belarus.

His Excellency witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the UAE Air Force and its Ethiopian counterpart. The MoU was signed by Major General Rashid Mohammed Al Shamsi on behalf of the UAE, and General Yilma Merdasa Genaba on behalf of Ethiopia.
As part of media activities during the exhibition, His Excellency, accompanied by Major General Khalifa Rashid Al Hamli, Director of the Office of the Minister of Defence, launched the Al Jundi Journal mobile application during a visit to the journal’s pavilion.

Major General Saleh Mohammed bin Mejren Al Ameri, Commander of the National Guard, met Major General Dr Obeidallah Al Ma’aytah, Director of Jordan’s Public Security Directorate and Brigadier Abdullah Saleh Abdullah of the Kuwait National Guard.
The meetings addressed areas of mutual cooperation.
Commander of Joint Aviation
Brigadier General Yousef Abdullah Al Kaabi, Commander of Joint Aviation, received General Gaël Diaz de Tuesta, Director of International Cooperation at the French Ministry of the Armed Forces and Brigadier General Pascalis, Commander of the Hellenic Air Force Aviation Forces.
Their discussions covered avenues to enhance defence cooperation and partnership.

Major General Awadh Saeed bin Musleh Al Ahbabi, Commander of Joint Operations, met Field Marshal Berhanu Jula Gelalcha, Chief of the Ethiopian National Defence Forces, General Georgios Manouras, Commander of the Hellenic War Command and General Abba Babti El Hajj Ahmed, Commander of the Mauritanian Air Force.
The meetings addressed cooperation and the exchange of expertise.
Director of the Office of the Minister of Defence
Major General Khalifa Rashid Al Hamli , Director of the Office of the Minister of Defence, toured the exhibition, reviewing key national products and defence technologies on display.
Assistant Minister of State for Digital Transformation, Technology and Artificial Intelligence
Major General Mubarak Saeed Ghafan Al Jabri, Assistant Minister of State for Digital Transformation, Technology and Artificial Intelligence, held several meetings, including with Admiral Giacinto Ottaviani, Director of National Armament of Italy, Major General Vicente Torres Pazos, representative of the Spanish Ministry of Defence, Mr Rob Wieters, Senior Vice President at BigBear.ai and Mr Jarno Syrjälä, Undersecretary of State for International Trade of Finland.
He also visited the “Spac42” platform, where he discussed the future of space communications and cooperation with EDGE in secure communications and satellite communication stations.
