Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, announced that 2020 will be the “Year of Preparation for the Next Fifty Years in the UAE” , by launching the largest national work strategy of its kind to prepare for the next fifty years at all levels, Federal and local.
On this occasion, the United Arab Emirates is on the verge of an important stage in its modern history, as it prepares to reach its golden jubilee, full of hope and ambition to put its own civilizational mark on the path of human history.
The UAE, God willing, will achieve its goal of becoming one of the best countries in the world when it celebrates the Centenary Anniversary of its Establishment in 2071, and this goal will be achieved by the will of the people of the United Arab Emirates, their solidarity, their love for their homeland and loyalty for their leadership.
The successes and achievements of the past five decades that have won admiration, appreciation and respect of the world have been achieved through effort, determination and dedication … and the state needs during the next five decades to double this effort and continue work and struggle because ambitions are greater, challenges are harder, competition is stronger and stronger, and transformations are faster and deeper, and this, of course, places great responsibility on every citizen of the homeland, and makes the coming years for work, diligence and perseverance.
The world was impressed by fifty years of accomplishments which had been started by the founding fathers, and continued by exceptional contemporary leaders, who have taken the initiative to kick off a new phase to write a new history for our homeland, the homeland of pride and honor.
