2020.. A Year of Preparation for the Next Fifty Years

Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum‭, ‬Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai‭, ‬and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan‭, ‬Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces‭, ‬announced that 2020‭ ‬will be the‭ ‬“Year of Preparation for the Next Fifty Years in the UAE”‭ , ‬by launching the largest national work strategy of its kind to prepare for the next fifty years at all levels‭, ‬Federal and local‭.‬
On this occasion‭, ‬the United Arab Emirates is on the verge of an important stage in its modern history‭, ‬as it prepares to reach‭ ‬its golden jubilee‭, ‬full of hope and ambition to put its own civilizational mark on the path of human history‭.‬
The UAE‭, ‬God willing‭, ‬will achieve its goal of becoming one of the best countries in the world when it celebrates the Centenary‭ ‬Anniversary of its Establishment in 2071‭, ‬and this goal will be achieved by the will of the people of the United Arab Emirates‭, ‬their solidarity‭, ‬their love for their homeland and loyalty for their leadership‭.‬
The successes and achievements of the past five decades that have won admiration‭, ‬appreciation and respect of the world have been achieved through effort‭, ‬determination and dedication‭ … ‬and the state needs during the next five decades to double this effort and continue work and struggle because ambitions are greater‭, ‬challenges are harder‭, ‬competition is stronger and stronger‭, ‬and transformations are faster and deeper‭, ‬and this‭, ‬of course‭, ‬places great responsibility on every citizen of the homeland‭, ‬and‭ ‬makes the coming years for work‭, ‬diligence and perseverance‭.‬
The world was impressed by fifty years of accomplishments which had been started by the founding fathers‭, ‬and continued by exceptional contemporary leaders‭, ‬who have taken the initiative to kick off a new phase to write a new history for our homeland‭, ‬the‭ ‬homeland of pride and honor‭.‬
