Anduril Industries has successfully delivered its first Dive-LD autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) to the US Navy’s Unmanned Undersea Vehicle Squadron, marking a significant step in expanding the Navy’s unmanned maritime capabilities and integrating autonomous systems into its operational framework.
The Dive-LD is purpose-built for long-duration, deep-sea missions. It is capable of operating at depths of up to 6,000 metres and can remain submerged for as long as 10 days. Its modular design allows for rapid reconfiguration, enabling it to support a wide range of critical missions.
These include underwater battlespace intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), mine countermeasures, anti-submarine warfare (ASW), and high-resolution seabed mapping.
