The Russian Armed Forces have unveiled a new unmanned ground combat platform, named Courier, currently undergoing trials at military training grounds.

The Courier is a compact robotic vehicle equipped with a machine gun, an automatic grenade launcher, and a Kalashnikov rifle. Designed to support infantry operations, it can provide suppressive fire, deliver supplies, and deploy guided mines. Soldiers testing the platform reported that it delivered effective fire support, neutralised enemy positions, and helped regain battlefield initiative.

Fitted with forward- and rear-facing cameras, the Courier can transport food, ammunition, and other supplies while also laying explosive barriers. Its light armour and small size make it highly manoeuvrable but vulnerable to medium- and heavy-calibre fire.

The vehicle operates via wireless control links, leaving it susceptible to jamming and signal disruption. While not intended to replace manned armoured vehicles, the Courier is seen as a valuable support tool. Military experts note that improved electronic protection, logistics integration, and counter-jamming upgrades will be required to enhance its reliability and operational effectiveness.
