SteerAI, a company under the UAE’s Advanced Technology Research Council, unveiled its autonomous ground platform XRift during UMEX 2026, marking a significant step in the development of uncrewed land systems designed for modern operational environments.
XRift has been developed specifically for unmanned operations and is designed to function without human intervention. It relies on the AI-enabled CoreX autonomous driving system, supported by an advanced sensor suite that includes LiDAR, radars, and all-round vision cameras. This configuration enables the platform to operate effectively in GPS-denied and complex environments.
The vehicle features a cabin-less structure and a multi-role payload deck, allowing it to be adapted for a variety of missions, including reconnaissance, logistical support, and the integration of remote or mission-specific systems.
Moreover, XRift has a payload capacity of 500 kg and can reach speeds of up to 50 km/h.
