China’s Z-10ME Attack Helicopter Enters Service with Pakistan Army

The Pakistan Army has officially received its first batch of Chinese-built Z-10ME attack helicopters, in a ceremony overseen by Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, who inspected one of the newly delivered aircraft. The event was attended by senior government and military officials, as well as representatives from China’s defence industry.

The Z-10ME is equipped with an advanced weapons suite, including CM-502 air-to-surface missiles, TY-90 air-to-air missiles, and 70 mm guided rocket launchers. In addition to its formidable armament, the helicopter features a Directional Infrared Countermeasure (DIRCM) system to disrupt infrared-guided missiles, significantly enhancing its survivability in hostile combat environments.
