Latvia-based defence technology company Origin Robotics has introduced Blaze, a fully autonomous drone interceptor designed to counter the growing threat of enemy unmanned aerial systems (UAS) on the battlefield.
Specifically developed with NATO forces in mind, the Blaze system offers a rapid-response, cost-effective solution for neutralising drones at the front lines. This loitering munition is capable of autonomous flight and interception, combining advanced radar tracking with computer vision to accurately detect and destroy aerial targets.
The system can be deployed in under a minute from a compact, backpack-mounted launcher, making it highly portable and suited for frontline operations. Origin Robotics describes Blaze as a disruptive technology aimed at helping NATO forces adapt quickly to drone-saturated combat environments.
