Turkey has officially revealed the TF35000, a domestically developed high-thrust jet engine designed specifically for the country’s fifth-generation stealth fighter, the KAAN.
Announced by Turkish Aerospace Engine Industries, the TF35000 is a state-of-the-art turbofan engine capable of delivering 35,000 pounds of thrust. It has been engineered using cutting-edge aerospace technologies, including advanced high-temperature-resistant superalloys, thermal barrier coatings, and next-generation cooling systems.
The development of the TF35000 marks a major milestone in Turkey’s ongoing efforts to achieve technological self-sufficiency in the defence sector, particularly in the critical field of aerospace propulsion. With this achievement, Turkey joins an elite group of nations capable of producing high-performance jet engines tailored for stealth combat aircraft.
