Russia Unveils Upgraded Versions of Lancet Kamikaze Drones

Russia’s ZALA Aero, a subsidiary of the Kalashnikov Group, has announced the development of upgraded versions of its Lancet loitering munitions, commonly known as kamikaze drones.

The two new variants, designated “Product 51” and “Product 52,” represent a significant evolution from earlier Lancet models. According to the company, both drones feature enhanced communication channels and advanced guidance systems, offering improved targeting accuracy and increased resistance to electronic warfare countermeasures.

In a statement, ZALA highlighted that the new control system for the drones is highly portable and can be operated by a single user. Deployment of the system can be completed in under one minute, making it well-suited for rapid-response scenarios.
