Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), through the Sukhoi Design Bureau, has unveiled the latest advancements in its next-generation Su-57M fighter jet, marking a significant leap in the country’s efforts to develop a cutting-edge, multi-role air superiority platform.
The Su-57M represents the most advanced iteration of Russia’s fifth-generation fighter project. Engineered for stealth, speed, and versatility, the aircraft integrates a wider airframe that enhances aerodynamic lift and stability, particularly at supersonic speeds. Notably, the upgraded design allows for sustained supersonic flight without relying on afterburners—an essential benchmark for true fifth-generation combat aircraft.
