Chinese defence manufacturer Norinco has introduced its latest self-propelled howitzer, the SH16A, to the Middle Eastern market for the first time.
This advanced artillery system is mounted on an 8×8 wheeled chassis, offering enhanced mobility, protection, and precision firepower.
The SH16A comes equipped with a 155mm/52-calibre gun capable of firing a wide range of munitions, including conventional shells, laser-guided projectiles, and top-attack munitions. Its maximum range varies depending on the type of ammunition used, reaching up to 56 kilometres.
The turret, weighing 14 tonnes, has been designed for compatibility with multiple chassis configurations, including both tracked and wheeled platforms.
