H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation (Zayed CHF), inaugurated the boat, “Mudhaffar,” an early warning unit for naval security operations of the United Arab Emirates Coast Guard.
The inauguration was part of the events of the 7th Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), along with the 16th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX).
Sheikh Nahyan inspected the boat, which has a length of 50.1 metres and a width of 9.41 metres, and a maximum speed of 23 knots. The boat can perform a range of missions, including search and rescue operations, securing the country’s coasts and vital facilities, and reporting naval threats.
Sheikh Nahyan was also briefed about the boat’s specifications and the smart technologies used to operate it.
