UAE Flag Day

In response to the initiative launched by H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, God bless him, the UAE is celebrating “Flag Day” aimed at starting a comprehensive national and popular campaign to celebrate the national holiday on November 3 of every year.
This date coincides with the anniversary of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, God rest his soul, assuming the presidency of the UAE, and raising the country’s flag over the buildings of the federal authorities, departments and ministries simultaneously, at his directives as a sign of unity spanning across all the UAE’s lands and buildings.
Flag Day embodies unity and peace among the people of the Emirates, enhances their sense of belonging, and consolidates the image and identity of the UAE in a spectacle reflecting the people’s cohesion.
The celebration of Flag Day across the emirates encourages us to proudly recall the path of empowerment paved by our founding fathers.
Furthermore, celebrating this day symbolizes loyalty and the sense of belonging at their truest, deepest, and loftiest forms towards the UAE and its wise leadership, which is making every effort to keep the UAE’s flag fluttering high in all forums and fields.
The UAE’s wise leadership highly values this national event, as a precious national celebration of the memory of one of its icons, whose memory will remain forever present, for what they have done in the service of this dear country.
Therefore, Flag Day will remain a cherished national event in which the people of the Emirates, of all ages and positions, gather around and raise their flag to the sky, symbolizing their pride, sovereignty, and patriotism, may the flag of the UAE remain high and proud guarded by the sacrifice of the sons and daughters of this land.
Raising the flag is both a duty and a feeling carried in the heart of every citizen of the UAE, a symbol that lives in our souls and conscience, distinguishing us from other peoples as the people who belong to this good land.
