US Marines receive state-of-the-art handheld devices to deter enemy drones

The US Central Command announced that the US Marine Corps has received the latest handheld devices designed to detect and deter enemy drones. Marine units have also taken part in training on these systems to combat hostile drones in the operations ‘zone of the US Central Command .

The Drone Buster system is one of the Marine Corps’ newest anti-drone weapons. It is a portable jamming device that has the ability to force unmanned system (UAS) to land or return to its operator if actively identified, whereby a Marine standing in a certain location can easily aim the device at the drone and eliminate it as a threat.

Portable systems allow Marines to remain ready to move at a moment’s notice to protect personnel and equipment from contemporary enemies.
