US Air Force prepares a prototype of its sixth-generation fighter

The US Air Force has finished preparing a prototype for its next-generation (sixth) fighter, which is described as “mysterious,” according to “Defense News”.

Defense News stated that all details about the fighter will remain ” mysterious ” due to the secret classification of the “Next Generation Air Domination” program. This program will include various air warfare systems, including fighters, drones, and network platforms in space and the internet.

It is noteworthy that over the past fifty years, the US industrial base has dwindled from 10 manufacturers capable of building an advanced fighter to only three defence companies (Lockheed Martin, Boeing and Northrop Grumman).

The United States currently owns the F-35, the first of fifth generation fighter, which is the most advanced in the world.
