The Spanish division of European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has released its vision for future light combat aircraft training.
Airbus’ Spanish division issued its proposal to train pilots of future light jet fighters on a new advanced training system, AFJT (Airbus Future Jet Trainer).
Fernando Beques, Head of the Eurofighter Program in Spain, Airbus Defence and Space Military Aircraft Division, and Javier Escribano, Head of Future Combat Programs indicated that the AFJT is a program designed by and for Spain as a solution to the operational, industrial and technological development that will allow the country to continue its position as a leading player in aviation and defence.
The AFJT program will be an important driver of the economy and a generator of highly qualified and quality jobs, contributing to the creation of stable, high-value employment opportunities with a significant impact.
