Russia successfully tests new helicopter

Rostec, a Russia-based company, has announced that the new Mi-171A3 helicopter has passed flight tests on its first long-distance flight.
According to Rostec, the Mi-171A3 helicopter features unique logistic capabilities, with a maximum take-off weight of 13 tons.
The Mi-171A3 can carry 24 passengers, and has a range of 1,000 km per flight, depending on the main fuel tanks, and it can operate in different regions and weather conditions, at temperatures ranging from -50 to +50 degrees Celsius.
The helicopter comes equipped with a special system, which enables safe landing on waves up to five meters high.
