Russia develops radar for missile shield

Russia has modernized the unique “Don-2N” radar. The “Don-2N” radar is an integral part of the missile attack warning system and provides information to the missile shield in Moscow.

Its antennas were set up inside a truncated pyramid, the height of which is equivalent to 11-storey building. The width of the foundation of the pyramid was 150 meters. Only one copy of it was made in the Soviet Union and Russia.

It is worth noting that the “Don-2N” radar is capable of detecting small-sized warheads of ballistic missiles at long distances, determining their trajectories and tracking them, and identifying the missile warheads against the background of all targets for overcoming the missile shield, including false targets, dipole reflectors and active jamming stations.
