Israel Aircraft Industries has announced that it is integrating offensive and defensive systems with the Sa’ar 6 Corvette, to enhance its capabilities.
The company said: The integration of Barak MX Interceptors will lead the Israeli Navy into a new technological era. The Barak MX Interceptor, along with the Israeli company’s full naval combat suite, will provide advanced defense systems for the Israeli Navy’s Sa’ar 6 cruisers.
The Barak MX system was selected after it was proven that it meets the operational requirements and future challenges facing the Israeli Navy.
The Sa’ar 6-class ship is a series of four German-made cruisers ordered for the Israeli Navy in May 2015.
