Iraq decided to buy a large shipment of Russian “T-90” tanks, after proving their success in hot and desert weather.

It is also possible to repair the Russian tank even if it is in the field. Besides, the Iraqi army did not have any major problems with the T-90 tank.

According to analysts, Iraq may completely give up operating US tanks by 2030, and this could happen much earlier, due to the cost of maintaining expensive “Abrams” tanks.

It is noteworthy that the Iraqi army has recently concluded several arms contracts with Russia, and Baghdad may acquire Russian fighters and even S-400 defence system.
