India successfully tests Agni-IV medium-range ballistic missile

India has successfully test-fired the Agni- IV medium-range ballistic missile, and this successful test was part of a routine user training exercise conducted under the auspices of the Strategic Forces Command.

The launch helped validate all operational parameters and system reliability while confirming India’s policy of having a minimum reliable deterrent, and the new missile could hit targets at a distance of 4,000 km.
