German MG36 light rifle

The MG36 automatic rifle, developed by Heckler & Koch, is a heavy-barreled version of the G36 assault rifle, with a folding bipod mount.

However, this version is not mass-produced and is no longer marketed. Instead, the German army adopted the Heckler & Koch MG43 light machine gun, which was eventually renamed the MG4.

Most of the external parts of the MG36 are made of polymer materials, and the latest technology has been used in the manufacturing process of this weapon.

A bayonet could be mounted on this machine gun, and interestingly enough, this machine gun for the German army had a German bayonet, which is somewhat different from the standard NATO bayonet.
