French company NEXTER is promoting its 155mm self-propelled howitzer Caesar 8×8 for the British Army’s “Mobile Fire Platform” MFP program, through which the British Ministry of Defense seeks to modernize the artillery capabilities of its land forces.
The French company Nexter would like to offer one of the most modern artillery systems. This French cannon has been fully-equipped since 2008 and has been involved in France’s main operations abroad.
Its firing range ranges from 4.5 to 40 km with standard ammunition and 55 km with long-range projectiles. It can also be used against ground targets with a maximum range of 2 km.
