Brazil introduces three new generation frigates to support its navy

Brazil has begun producing a new generation of warships to support its navy, an achievement that will undoubtedly boost its naval capabilities.
The new frigates will be welcomed additions to the Brazilian Navy and will prove to be a valuable asset in the future.
The new Tamandare-class frigates will be launched in 2024 and delivered to buyers in 2025, and the Brazilian Navy will receive 3 of them.
Each frigate is 107.2 m long, has a water displacement rate of 3.5 tons, and is equipped with MBDA’s Sea Ceptor and MM40 Exocet air defense systems, in addition to 76 mm guns and 12.7 mm machine guns.
