Brazil develops new missile

Brazil is developing a new generation of anti-ship missiles, called MANSUP, also known as AV-RE40, MAN-1.

According to developers, MANSUP missiles have the ability to hit their targets in different weather conditions, will operate at an initial speed of 870 km/h, and be able to hit targets at a distance of 100 km.

Brazil plans to arm its new diesel-electric submarines and nuclear submarines with these missiles starting from the beginning of the next decade, as well as the four Tamandare frigates that will go into service between 2025 and 2028.
