Boeing wins a contract to develop Saudi fighters

The US Department of Defence contracted with Boeing to develop the Saudi Royal Air Force F-15S into the F-15SA.

The contract provides for the development of the Saudi royal aircraft from the F-15S to the F-15SA, and logistical support of all kinds, and work is expected to be completed by December 30, 2022.

It is worth noting that the F-15SA is an upgraded version of the F-15S that is currently in service with the Royal Saudi Air Force.

The F-15SA has an advanced digital electronic warfare system, a fly-by-wire system, an infrared seeking system and tracking system, an active electronically- scanned radar array, advanced cockpit displays and joint guidance systems, among many other developments.
