Airbus has unveiled a European drone “EURODRONE”, a joint venture between Airbus, Dassault, and Leonardo aviation companies for Germany, France, Italy, and Spain.
This step represents a clear indication of the extent to which Germany’s attitude towards arming drones has changed in such a short period, especially given the important role that drones are playing in modern warfare.
The design of the drone suggests that it will be larger than the American Reaper, with two jet engines, a total payload of 2,300 kg, a maximum take-off weight of 11 tons, and a maximum speed of 500 km/h.
