The UAE’s local and global humanitarian role represents the principles on which it was established and which focus attention on respect of the human being and sustaining his dignity. Therefore, we are not surprised by the UAE’s endeavor at every time and place to extend a helping hand to all those in need and affected. Since the establishment of the UAE, our wise leadership has confirmed that the human beings are the most valuable thing we have, so they were provided all the services that a person needs, whether a citizen or resident, inside or outside the state, because our leadership sets its sights on providing aid and goodness and providing security and safety for every person on this land.
It is not surprising that our dear country is at the forefront of the world that provides humanitarian aid, regardless of nationality, religion, ethnicity and sect. This is our heritage, and this is our legacy of tolerance, coexistence and spread of good.
As for the stances of the UAE, they are rock solid, they are as steady as the mountains, they have not changed, but they evolve with the change of place and time. The humanitarian and Arab causes are the focus of the attention of our wise leadership, because they affect people and their sublime issues. No wonder, of course, as the twelfth article of the constitution of our dear country states that the UAE’s foreign policy aims to support Arab and Islamic causes and interests, and to strengthen friendship and cooperation with all countries and peoples, based on the principles of the United Nations Charter and international ethics. Not to mention the preamble of the constitution, which affirms cooperation with sisterly Arab countries, and with all other friendly countries that are members of the United Nations Organization, and of the international community in general, on the basis of mutual respect.
Those values and sublime meanings pursued by the United Arab Emirates are authentic Emirati values whose foundations were laid by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God bless his soul,” and adopted by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and Supreme Commander of the armed forces, “may God protect him”, who followed his path along with the exceptional Emirati leadership that was and still is an aid to the needy and the weak, as the hands of the UAE are pure and white, spreading their fragrance all over the world, spreading a message of peace, tolerance and good that prevails for all.
Here it should be noted that the initiatives taken by the United Arab Emirates to support other countries to address the emerging Coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic represent its eternal humanitarian stances that indicate the weight of the UAE, its high humanitarian character, its strength in its infrastructure and its exceptionalism in managing crises on both internal and external levels.
