The joint military exercise between units of the Emirati and Egyptian land forces, which was launched on the twenty-first of last May, on the UAE’s soil, under the name “Zayed 3”, is of particular importance with regard to the bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt. These regular exercises, which are originally an extension of the “Zayed” exercise series, reflect the depth of relations between the two countries, and the keenness of their leaders to strengthen and advance them in various fields, including the military field, as the exercises aim to develop and strengthen relations between the two countries through joint exercises, and the exchange of military expertise in order to raise the competence and combat readiness of the armed forces of both countries.
These exercises clearly reflect the extent of attention paid by the wise leadership to the armed forces, the shield and fortress of the homeland, which carry out the tasks of defending it and its citizens wherever they are, and protecting its gains and achievements. The UAE Armed Forces have gained remarkable combat experience, thanks to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, “may God protect him”, and the continuous support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him, “and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces,” may God protect him. ”
