Turkish defence manufacturer Otokar has revealed its latest tracked armoured platform, the TULPAR light tank, equipped with the Italian HITFACT MkII 120mm turret developed by Leonardo.
The unveiling highlights Otokar’s commitment to meeting evolving global military requirements while positioning the TULPAR as a strong contender for Brazil’s ongoing armoured fleet modernisation efforts.
The TULPAR is a versatile, modular, tracked armoured vehicle designed to perform multiple battlefield roles. It can operate as both an infantry fighting vehicle and a light or medium tank, offering a high degree of flexibility in combat scenarios. Built for superior mobility across diverse terrain, the TULPAR is well-suited for urban warfare, forested environments, and soft or uneven ground—areas where traditional main battle tanks may face significant limitations.
