Taiwan develops warships to automatically lay naval mines

Taiwan is developing warships whose mission is to lay mines automatically and quickly to enable it to secure its water borders against any attempt to invade its territory.

Reports stated that Taiwan is developing two ships to deploy mines, enabling it to deploy large numbers of naval mines to disable any attacking ships.

Taiwan is trying to acquire a military force that relies on local manufacturing to counter the hostile army, especially the Chinese army, which ranks third among the world’s most powerful armies.

Taiwan says it is an independent country and is preparing to protect its democracy against external attacks, having recently developed its first new generation of diesel-electric submarine for the Navy.
