Saudi navy receives French-made fast intercept boats

The Saudi navy recently received French-made‭ “‬HSI32‭” ‬fast intercept boats within the framework of joint cooperation between the‭ ‬Kingdom and the Republic of France in the field of industrialization and military cooperation‭.‬
His Excellency the Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces‭, ‬Lieutenant General Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Ghafili‭, ‬sponsored lately‭ ‬the ceremony for the delivery and receipt of fast intercept boats‭, ‬the second and third batch of the French‭ ‬“HSI32”‭ ‬fast interceptor project in the Eastern Province‭, ‬within the framework of joint cooperation between the Kingdom and the Republic of France in the field of military manufacturing cooperation‭.‬
The agreement signed with the French company‭ “‬CMN‭” ‬included the manufacture and supply of a number of‭ “‬HSI32‭” ‬speedboats‭, ‬part of which is manufactured in France and the other part in the Kingdom as part of the technology transfer program‭. ‬These boats are‭ ‬among the most recent fast interceptor boats in the world‭.‬
His Excellency the Commander of the Navy confirmed that the speedboat system will contribute to raising the level of combat readiness of the naval forces to enhance maritime security in the region‭ .
