The Israeli Ministry of Defense signed, with the German company Thyssenkrupp, an agreement to produce 3 advanced submarines, for the benefit of the Israeli Navy.

The reports said that the submarines that Israel will buy are from a new series called “Dakar”, which are powered by diesel and electricity.

The agreement also includes the construction of a training simulator in Israel, in addition to the supply of spare parts.

The value of the deal amounts to 3 billion euros, part of which will be financed by the German government through a special grant, according to an agreement signed between the two countries in 2017.
