China tests the Vuzhi 8, the world’s fastest drone according to Chinese media.
The hypersonic reconnaissance drone can be launched from “mother ships” such as the Xian H-16, before powering its rocket engine, which can reach a maximum speed of 8,600 km/h, i.e. three times the speed of the Russian Su-27 fighter.
China’s new drone is a hypersonic reconnaissance drone – currently the fastest in the world, with a top speed of 8,600 km/h.
